SCHOOLS WATCH: SDAR THRASH SMS KOTA TINGGI
FAVOURITES SM Datuk Abdul Razak (SDAR) of Negri Sembilan easily qualified for the second round after winning all their preliminary round Group A matches in the Malaysian Residential Schools 10-a-side rugby carnival at the Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman (STAR) in Ipoh yesterday. SDAR beat SMS Kota Tinggi of Johor 5-0, SMS Lahad Datu of Sabah 27-0 and SMS Kuching 29-0. Kota Tinggi also advanced to the second round with four points.

Sekolah Alam Shah of Kuala Lumpur took top spot in Group B winning all three matches against Samura of Johor, SMS Dungun and RMC of Kuala Lumpur. RMC also advanced with two wins and one defeat.

SMS Tuanku Jaafar of Negri Sembilan won all their three matches in Group C to take top spot while SMS Muzaffar Shah of Malacca finished second to advance into the last sixteen.

In Group D, SMS Hulu Selangor and SMS Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang worked their way into the second round.

In Group E, SMS Pokok Sena of Kedah and Malay College Kuala Kangsar advanced while Sultan Mahmud of Terengganu and SMS Johor from Group F completed the line-up.
